Bay Cakes is run by a young married couple: DJ and Wendy McCoy.
This is DJ. Master baker, head of all things tasty and delicious. He's in charge of the recipes, baking all of that delicious cake, and making all the yummy filling that goes in the cake! He's worked in the food industry for over 10 years, and currently works as a cook at well known Bay Area restaurant. He developed a passion for all baked goods, and currently runs his own blog, bakingperfection.com.
This is Wendy. Decorator extraordinaire, she makes all of the lovely things you see on the cakes. Until our first cake, Wendy had no idea she had any cake decorating skills. Nowadays, Wendy can make/sculpt anything from sugar (she's sweet). She's currently working as a receptionist at a dental office in Hercules.
